Quick Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Leh – Acclimatization & Briefing
- Altitude: 3,500 m
- Activities: Airport pickup, hotel check-in, rest, and local exploration
- Evening: Welcome briefing, bike fitment, and safety orientation
- Overnight: Hotel in Leh
- Meals: Dinner included
- Rest & Preparation: Important for all riders to acclimatize properly before starting the ride
Day 2 Leh – Acclimatization Ride & Warm-Up
- Distance: ~15 km (round trip)
- Route: Leh to Spituk Monastery and back
- Purpose: Light ride to adjust to terrain and altitude
- Evening: Gear check, Q&A session, and health check
- Overnight: Hotel in Leh
- Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner
- Rest: Free time near river, evening tea session
Day 3 Leh to South Pullu – Begin the Climb
- Altitude Gain: Approx. 1,200 m)
- Distance: ~25 km
- Terrain: Gradual uphill, winding road with incredible views
- Highlights: Magnetic Hill views, Gangles village, wildlife spotting
- Support: Backup vehicle, water/snack breaks every 5 km
- Meals: All meals included (hot lunch at camp)
- Overnight: Camp or basic guesthouse at South Pullu (4,700 m)
We ride slow and steady to allow proper adjustment to thinner air.
Day 4 South Pullu to Khardung La Top – Descend to Leh
- Highest Altitude: 5,359 m
- Distance: 14 km uphill + 39 km downhill
- Challenge: Final climb to 5,359 m – the world’s highest motorable road
- Celebration: Photo session at Khardung La Pass with hot tea & certificates
- Return: Descend all the way back to Leh by cycle (or vehicle, if needed)
- Evening: Celebration dinner and trip closure
- Overnight: Hotel in Leh
Day 5 Departure from Leh
