Quick Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Leh – Acclimatization & Preparation
- Altitude: 3,500 m
- Activities: Airport pickup, transfer to hotel, cycle fitting, safety briefing
- Evening: Light walk to Leh Market, Shanti Stupa for sunset
- Overnight: Hotel / Guesthouse in Leh
- Meals: Dinner
- Rest & Preparation: Hydrate well, minimal physical activity, allow body to adapt
Day 2 Leh Local Acclimatization Ride
- Activities:Short warm-up ride to Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and Stok Village (~25–30 km)
- Evening: Free time in Leh, briefing on Khardung La climb
- Overnight: Hotel in Leh
- Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
- Rest: Light stretching, recheck gear, prepare for ascent
Day 3 Khardung La → Khardung Village
- Altitude Gain: Leh (3,500 m) → Khardung La (5,360 m) → Khardung Village (4,200 m)
- Distance: ~39 km
- Terrain: Gradual uphill, winding road with incredible views
- Highlights: Panoramic Mountain views, World's highest motorable passes
- Support: Backup vehicle, water/snack breaks every 5 km
- Meals: All meals included (hot lunch at camp)
- Overnight: Guesthouse in Khardung Village
Day 4 Khardung Village → Diskit (Nubra Valley)
- Highest Altitude: 3,100 m
- Activities: Cycle through the scenic Nubra Valley, visit Diskit Monastery & giant Buddha statue
- Distance: 120 km
- Evening: Explore Hunder Sand Dunes; optional camel ride
- Overnight: Camps/Guesthouse in Nubra (Diskit/Hunder)
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
- Rest & Preparation: Gentle recovery ride; stretch in the evening
Day 5 Nubra Valley → Panamik → Siachen Base Camp (Civil Facility)
- Highest Altitude: ~3,600–4,000 m
- Activities: Ride northwards through Sumoor & Panamik hot springs, cycle towards the, Civilian access point of Siachen Base Camp
- Distance: 74 km
- Evening: Reflection session; interact with locals
- Overnight: Camps/Guesthouse in Panamik / near Siachen approach
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
- Rest & Preparation: Hydrate well, ride in groups, check for AMS symptoms
Day 6 Siachen Area → Nubra Valley (Return Ride)
- Highest Altitude: ~3,000 m
- Activities: Return ride towards Nubra; easier gradients, cultural exploration of villages
- Distance: 74 km
- Evening: Bonfire & cultural evening
- Overnight: Camp in Nubra
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinnerr
- Rest & Preparation: Recovery day; focus on hydration & stretching
Day 7 Nubra → Khardung La → Leh
- Highest Altitude: Nubra (3,000 m) → Khardung La (5,360 m) → Leh (3,500 m)
- Activities: Final big climb – return ascent of Khardung La, descend into Leh
- Evening: Celebration dinner in Leh
- Overnight: Hotel in Leh
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
