Quick Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Srinagar (Base & Bike Prep)
- Altitude: ~1,585 m (Srinagar)
- Activities: Airport/hotel transfer, bike inspection, gear check, route briefing and safety talk
- Evening: Shikara ride on Dal Lake (optional) & welcome dinner with the team
- Overnight: Hotel or houseboat in Srinagar
- Meals: Dinner included (breakfast not applicable on arrival depending on time)
- Rest & Preparation: Final packing, fitting saddlebags, test short spin in city; early night to rest before first long ride
Day 2 Srinagar → Sonamarg → Drass / Kargil (Long Riding Day)
- Distance: Start 1,585 m → Zoji La ~3,528 m → Drass/Kargil ~3,200–3,000 m (depending on overnight location)
- Route: Srinagar to Kargil via Drass
- Purpose: Light ride to adjust to terrain and altitude
- Evening: Brief stop at Drass War Memorial (Kargil), debrief & relax
- Overnight: Hotel in Drass or Kargil
- Meals: Breakfast (hotel), packed lunch en route, dinner included
- Rest: Hydration, light stretching, check brakes & gears; early dinner and sleep
Day 3 Kargil → Lamayuru → Leh (Scenic Highways)
- Altitude Gain: Kargil ~2,650 m → Lamayuru ~3,500 m (area) → Leh ~3,500 m
- Distance: ~215 km
- Terrain: Gradual uphill, winding road with incredible views
- Highlights: Beautiful Indus River
- Support: Backup vehicle, water/snack breaks every 5 km
- Meals: All meals included (hot lunch at camp)
- Overnight: Hotel/guesthouse in Leh

Day 4 Leh (Acclimatization & Local Ride)
- Highest Altitude: Leh ~3,500 m
- Activities: Short local rides (Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace), light sightseeing and paperwork
- Evening: Rider workshop — high altitude physiology, pacing strategy, nutrition on the bike
- Meals: Breakfast & dinner included; lunch at leisure
- Evening: Hotel in Leh
- Overnight: Hotel in Leh
Day 5 Departure from Leh
- Highest Altitude: Leh 3,500 m → Khardung La summit ~5,360–5,600 m (source variance) → Diskit/Nubra ~3,048 m
- Activities: Early start to ascend Khardung La (technical climb with gravel patches); descend into the scenic Nubra Valley
- Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch on pass, dinner included
- Evening: Hotel in Leh
- Overnight: Camps/guesthouse in Nubra (Hunder/Diskit)
- Rest & Preparation: Slow ascent strategy, monitor for AMS; hydrate & use short rest stops; prepare warm layers for summit
Day 6 Nubra Valley Exploration & Recovery Ride
- Highest Altitude: Nubra ~3,000–3,200 m (Hunder, Diskit)
- Activities: Easy loops around Hunder & Diskit; optional ride to Turtuk (subject to permits) or Panamik hot springs
- Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch on pass, dinner included
- Evening: Cultural interactions with local communities, sunset at dunes, optional camel ride
- Overnight: Nubra camps/guesthouses
- Rest & Preparation: Recovery day — gentle cycling, stretching, bike tune up for next leg
Day 7 Nubra → Wari La/Shyok Route → Pangong (Long Mixed Terrain)
- Highest Altitude: Nubra ~3,000 m → Wari La / Shyok route mid-passes up to ~4,500 m (depending on which route taken) → Pangong ~4,350 m
- Activities: Challenging mixed surfaces: off-road sections, river edges and high-altitude flats; photo stops along stark landscapes
- Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch on pass, dinner included
- Evening: Cultural interactions with local communities, sunset at dunes, optional camel ride
- Overnight: Pangong lakeside camps
- Rest & Preparation: Recovery day — gentle cycling, stretching, bike tune up for next leg
Day 8 Pangong → Chang La → Leh (Return Ride & Celebration)
- Highest Altitude: Pangong ~4,350 m → Chang La ~5,360 m → Leh ~3,500 m
- Activities: Early morning lakeside moments; ascend Chang La (steep, cold pass) then descend to Leh; celebratory ride through Leh Market
- Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch on pass, dinner included
- Evening: Farewell dinner & certificate/photo session with the crew
- Overnight: Hotel in Lehs
- Rest & Preparation: Gentle ride in the afternoon, bike wash and final mechanical check, pack for departure
